J.R. Simplot Co. has determined that its genetically engineered Russet Burbank event W8 potato, engineered for late blight resistance, low acrylamide potential, reduced black spot bruising, and lowered reducing sugars, is no longer considered a regulated article. The determination is based on data submitted by J.R. Simplot Company and analysis of available scientific data.
