Labor Certification Process for Temporary Employment in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CW-1 Workers)

The U.S. Department of Labor is issuing new regulations for temporary employment opportunities in the Northern Mariana Islands, requiring employers to obtain a prevailing wage determination and temporary labor certification from the Department of Labor before hiring nonimmigrant workers under the CW-1 visa program. This change is mandated by the Northern Mariana Islands U.S. Workforce Act of 2018.
