EPA Establishes Nonconformance Penalties for Heavy-Duty Diesel Engines

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is implementing a new rule to impose penalties on manufacturers of heavy-duty diesel engines that fail to meet emissions standards for oxides of nitrogen (NOx), with the first penalties set to take effect in model years 2012 and later.
