U.S. EPA Hosts Public Meeting on Long Term 2 Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rule Monitoring and Binning

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is hosting a public meeting on November 15, 2012, to discuss and solicit public input on monitoring data analysis, occurrence forecasts, binning, and microbial toolbox information as part of the regulatory review of the Long Term 2 Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rule (LT2 rule). The meeting will focus on several topics, including the results of the first round of Cryptosporidium monitoring and its implications for public drinking water systems.
