EPA Proposes Determination of Attainment for Philadelphia-Wilmington Nonattainment Area

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to determine that the Philadelphia-Wilmington, PA-NJ-DE nonattainment area has met the 2006 24-hour fine particulate standard, based on air quality monitoring data from 2008-2010 and 2009-2011, and preliminary data from 2012. If finalized, this decision will suspend certain requirements for the area to submit a plan to maintain attainment until the area continues to meet the standard.
