EPA Disapproves Alabama's Infrastructure Plan for 1997 and 2006 Fine Particulate Matter NAAQS
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has taken final action to disapprove a portion of Alabama's State Implementation Plan (SIP) submissions, which were intended to meet the Clean Air Act (CAA) requirements for implementing and enforcing the 1997 and 2006 fine particulate matter national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS). The disapproval affects Alabama's SIP provisions related to the CAA, while EPA will address other applicable infrastructure elements separately.
