EPA Approves Virginia's Plan to Delay CO2 Emissions from Bioenergy Sources

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved a revised State Implementation Plan (SIP) submitted by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VADEQ) on December 14, 2011, deferring the application of PSD permitting requirements for biogenic CO2 emissions from bioenergy and other biogenic stationary sources in Virginia until July 21, 2014, under the Clean Air Act (CAA).
