EPA Approves California's Ozone Implementation Plans
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has made determinations regarding California's 8-hour ozone nonattainment areas, including granting one-year extensions to Mariposa and Tuolumne Counties and Nevada County, and suspending the need for state implementation plan revisions for areas that have met the 1997 ozone standard. The EPA is also confirming that six California areas and Ventura County have attained the standard based on recent data.
