EPA Approves West Virginia's Air Quality Plan for Fine Particulate Matter

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved the fine particulate matter (PM 2.5) 2002 base year emissions inventory for the Huntington-Ashland, WV-KY-OH nonattainment area, as part of West Virginia's State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision submitted on May 28, 2009, to meet nonattainment requirements related to the 1997 PM 2.5 National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS).
