EPA Approves West Virginia's Air Quality Plan for Parkersburg Area

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved the 2002 base year emissions inventory for the Parkersburg-Marietta, WV-OH nonattainment area, which meets the Clean Air Act requirements to address fine particulate matter (PM 2.5) pollution in the region, as submitted by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (WVDEP) on September 9, 2008.
