EPA Proposes Approval of New Jersey's Air Quality Implementation Plan for PM2.5
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to fully approve elements of New Jersey's State Implementation Plan (SIP) to meet the 1997 fine particle national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS), which was submitted on April 1, 2009. This action aims to address the nonattainment areas in New York-N. New Jersey-Long Island and Philadelphia-Wilmington, PA-NJ-DE, by approving the attainment demonstration, motor-vehicle emissions budgets, and Reasonably Available Control Technology and Reasonably Available Control Measures (RACT/RACM) analysis.
