VA Proposes Updates to Health Professional Scholarship Programs for Blind Rehabilitation Specialists

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is proposing to update its Health Professional Scholarship Program (HPSP) regulations and establish a new Visual Impairment and Orientation and Mobility Professional Scholarship Program (VIOMPSP) to increase the supply of qualified blind rehabilitation specialists. The proposed regulations would align with sections 302 and 603 of the Caregivers and Veterans Omnibus Health Services Act of 2010 (2010 Act).
