EPA Approves New York-N. New Jersey-Long Island Area for Attainment of 2006 Fine Particle Standard

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has determined that the New York-N. New Jersey-Long Island area has met the 2006 fine particle standard, allowing it to suspend certain air quality planning requirements. The area will no longer need to submit detailed plans to maintain compliance with the standard.
