NRC Extends Comment Period for Proposed Revision to Nuclear Plant Design Guidelines

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is extending the public comment period for a proposed revision to its design guidelines for nuclear power plants until May 1, 2013, following requests from stakeholders for additional time to review and provide meaningful comments on the draft guidance document.
