U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Issues Final Guidance on Wall Thinning Due to Erosion Mechanisms for Nuclear Power Plants

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has released the final version of its License Renewal Interim Staff Guidance (LR-ISG) document, LR-ISG-2012-01, which addresses wall thinning due to erosion mechanisms in nuclear power plants, following a review of several license renewal applications and stakeholder input.
