U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Amends Regulations for Source Material Distribution

The NRC is updating its rules to require explicit authorization for the initial distribution of source material to exempt persons and general licensees, and to modify possession and use requirements for small quantities of source material to align with current health and safety standards.
