U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Issues Revised Regulatory Guide for Digital Software Configuration Management in Nuclear Power Plants

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has released a revised regulatory guide (RG 1.169, revision 1) outlining acceptable methods for configuration management and control of digital software used in safety systems of nuclear power plants, based on the IEEE Standard 828-2005.
