U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Proposes Revision to Generic Determination on Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing a revision to its generic determination on the environmental impacts of storing spent nuclear fuel beyond a reactor's licensed life, with the goal of safely storing fuel for up to 60 years before disposal.
