NHTSA Proposes Amendment to Motorcycle Brake Systems and Controls

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is proposing to update Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSSs) Nos. 122 and 123 to allow the use of an internationally recognized symbol to indicate an antilock brake system (ABS) malfunction on motorcycles, addressing a technical issue with the current standardized malfunction symbol.
