FDA Approves Ajinomoto's Advantame for Human Consumption

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending its regulations to allow the safe use of advantame, a non-nutritive sweetener and flavor enhancer, in most food products, with the exception of meat and poultry, following a petition from Ajinomoto Co., Inc.
