FDA Proposes to Remove General Safety Test Requirements for Biological Products

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is proposing to amend its biologics regulations by removing the general safety test (GST) requirements for biological products, as the existing regulations are duplicative of requirements in biologics licenses or no longer necessary to ensure the safety and purity of licensed biological products.
