US Coast Guard Removes Snake Island Safety Zone in Texas City Channel

The US Coast Guard has removed the Snake Island Safety Zone, also known as Shoal Point, within the Texas City Channel, effective as scheduled, due to the removal of unnecessary general restrictions on vessels. This decision follows the expiration of a direct final rule and request for comments published on April 8, 2014, with no adverse comments received.
