Coast Guard Publishes Final Rule to Implement International Convention Amendments and Correct Inconsistencies

The US Coast Guard has published a final rule in the Federal Register to correct inconsistencies in the implementation of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, 1978, and changes to national endorsements, following the publication of the rule on December 24, 2013.
