NIOSH to Evaluate Petition for Mound Plant Employees

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has announced its decision to evaluate a petition to include a class of employees from the Mound Plant in Miamisburg, Ohio, in the Special Exposure Cohort under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act of 2000, which affects workers exposed to radioactive materials between 1972 and 1976.
