CDC Republishes List of Select Agents and Toxins, Adds New Threats and Updates Security Requirements

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has updated the list of biological agents and toxins that pose a severe threat to public health and safety, adding Chapare virus, Lujo virus, and SARS-associated coronavirus (SARS-CoV) to the list, and establishing new security requirements for entities possessing Tier 1 agents, as mandated by Executive Order 13546.
