HHS Issues Interim Final Rule to Update Electronic Health Record Certification Criteria and Medicare Incentive Programs

The Department of Health and Human Services is releasing an interim final rule with a comment period to update electronic health record certification standards and revise Medicare and Medicaid incentive programs, including a new alternative measure for hospitals to provide electronic laboratory results to ambulatory providers.
