Migratory Bird Permits; Extension of Expiration Dates for Double-Crested Cormorant Depredation Orders
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is extending the expiration dates of two depredation orders for double-crested cormorants (DCCOs) for five years to allow state and tribal agencies to continue managing DCCO problems and gathering data. The revised orders also include new requirements for controlling DCCOs, such as using nontoxic rifle bullets, and removing restrictions on bald eagle nests.
