Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Seeks Permit to Enhance New England Cottontail Habitat

The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife has submitted an application to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for a permit to take New England cottontail rabbits from certain habitat improvement projects, pending the species' potential listing as endangered or threatened under the Endangered Species Act.
