U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Announces 90-Day Finding on Petition to Reclassify West Indian Manatee

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has initiated a review of the West Indian manatee's status, following a petition to reclassify it from endangered to threatened under the Endangered Species Act, and will issue a 12-month finding on the petition within the next year.
