Pratt & Whitney Division Proposes New Airworthiness Directive for Certain Turbofan Engines

Pratt & Whitney Division is proposing a new airworthiness directive to address 58 reports of cracked 1st stage high-pressure turbine air seal rings, including 15 in-flight engine shutdowns, and to prevent potential internal oil fires, uncontained engine failure, and airplane damage.
