Western Area Power Administration to Rebuild Transmission Line in Colorado

The Western Area Power Administration plans to rebuild a 13.6-mile transmission line in Grand County, Colorado, as a double-circuit line with a 138-kV voltage rating, to improve reliability and minimize environmental impact. The project aims to provide a redundant feed to the Granby Pumping Plant and meet the needs of Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association's local customer, Mountain Parks Electric.
