U.S. Department of Energy Tentatively Classifies Hearth Products as Covered Consumer Products
The U.S. Department of Energy has determined that hearth products, such as those used in fireplaces and wood stoves, qualify as covered products under the Energy Policy and Conservation Act, due to their high energy consumption and the need to conserve energy resources nationwide.
