U.S. Department of Energy Withdraws Proposed Rule for Set-Top Box Energy Efficiency Test Procedure

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has withdrawn a proposed rule to establish a test procedure for measuring the energy consumption of set-top boxes (STBs), following a consensus agreement from a representative group that could lead to significant energy savings in STBs.
