DEA Finalizes Control of Propionyl Chloride as List I Chemical Under Controlled Substances Act

The Drug Enforcement Administration is finalizing the control of propionyl chloride as a list I chemical under the Controlled Substances Act, which will subject handlers of propionyl chloride to stricter chemical regulatory provisions, in an effort to curb the illicit manufacture of fentanyl and related substances.
