U.S. Imposes Import Restrictions on Egyptian Archaeological Material

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has amended its regulations to impose import restrictions on certain archaeological material from Egypt, in accordance with an agreement between the U.S. and Egypt, and in compliance with the 1970 UNESCO Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property.
