US Fish and Wildlife Service Proposes Endangered Listing of Five Sawfish Species

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has published a proposed rule to list five sawfish species, including the narrow sawfish, dwarf sawfish, largetooth sawfish, green sawfish, and smalltooth sawfish, as endangered under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) due to their declining populations, and invites the public to comment on the proposal until September 19, 2013.
