ATF Proposes Rule to Clarify Interstate Transportation of Firearms Under the Gun Control Act

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) is proposing a rule to clarify that activities necessary for transporting firearms interstate, such as overnight stays and vehicle maintenance, are protected under the Gun Control Act. The proposed rule also addresses transporting ammunition and firearm accessories between states and securing firearms during transit.
