NMFS Announces 90-Day Finding on Petition to List Hagfish and Sea Snakes Under Endangered Species Act

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has announced a 90-day finding on a petition to list three species of hagfish and three species of sea snakes as threatened or endangered under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The finding indicates that the petition presents substantial information suggesting that the sea snake, A. fuscus, may warrant listing, and a comprehensive status review will be conducted to determine if listing is warranted.
