ATF Proposes Rule Change to Allow Importation of Dual-Use Frames, Receivers, or Barrels

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) proposes revising Department of Justice regulations to allow federal firearms licensees to import frames, receivers, or barrels that can be used on both sporting and non-sporting firearms, provided they are imported with a sporting configuration. The proposed rule change would also permit the use of these dual-use frames, receivers, or barrels to assemble NFA firearms, as long as they comply with other federal firearms laws.
