NMFS Reopens Comment Period for Draft Amendment 7 to 2006 HMS Fishery Management Plan

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is reopening the comment period for Draft Amendment 7 to the 2006 Consolidated Highly Migratory Species Fishery Management Plan, which aims to control bluefin incidental catch and enhance reporting in the pelagic longline fishery, in order to incorporate new recommendations from the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT).
