DoD Issues Final Rule on Passive RFID Use in Defense Acquisitions

The US Department of Defense (DoD) has published a final rule updating the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to incorporate requirements for the use of passive radio frequency identification (RFID) technology in defense acquisitions, following a 2010 case (DFARS Case 2010-D014).
