HUD Proposes Revision to Section 8 Management Assessment Program Lease-Up Indicator Rule

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) proposes to revise its regulations for the Section 8 Management Assessment program (SEMAP) to change the way it measures and verifies performance under the SEMAP lease-up indicator. The proposed rule would simplify the process by using a calendar year cycle instead of a fiscal year cycle, and clarify which units are included in the assessment.
