U.S. EPA Hosts Public Workshop on AOAC UDM and OECD Microbicide Methods

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is hosting a public workshop at the Environmental Science Center Microbiology Laboratory to discuss the Association of Official Analytical Chemists (AOAC) Use-dilution method (UDM) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Quantitative Method for Evaluating Bactericidal Activity of Microbicides Used on Hard, Non-Porous Surfaces. The workshop aims to review the current and proposed revisions to these methods, primarily for Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, through a comprehensive review, hands-on laboratory demonstrations, and collaborative studies.
