New York State Prohibition of Vessel Sewage Discharges in Jamaica Bay

The New York State Department of Conservation, on behalf of the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, has petitioned the EPA for a determination that adequate facilities for safe and sanitary sewage removal and treatment are reasonably available in Jamaica Bay, allowing the state to completely prohibit vessel sewage discharges into the bay.
