VA Proposes Rule Update for Nursing Home Assessment Tool

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is proposing to update its regulations to ensure that State nursing homes receiving per diem payments from VA use the most recent version of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Resident Assessment Instrument/Minimum Data Set (MDS), version 3.0, to assess veterans.
