EPA Approves Air Quality Plans for West Virginia and Ohio, Declaring Areas Attainment of 1997 Fine Particle Standard

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has made official determinations that the Parkersburg-Marietta and Wheeling nonattainment areas in West Virginia and Ohio have met the 1997 annual fine particle standard, as required by the Clean Air Act, by their deadline of April 5, 2010.
