HUD Revises Homeless Assistance Programs Under HEARTH Act

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has revised its homeless assistance programs under the Homeless Emergency Assistance and Rapid Transition to Housing Act of 2009 (HEARTH Act), renaming the Emergency Shelter Grants program to the Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) program and shifting its focus to permanent housing stability.
