FDA Approves Cipepofol for General Anesthesia, DEA to Place in Schedule IV

The US FDA approved a new drug application for Cypsedo (cipepofol) for general anesthesia induction in adults, recommending its placement in Schedule IV of the Controlled Substances Act. The DEA is issuing an interim final rule based on the FDA's approval and the Improving Regulatory Transparency for New Medical Therapies Act.
