EPA Proposes Approval of North Carolina's 1997 Ozone NAAQS Implementation Plan

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve part of North Carolina's State Implementation Plan (SIP) to demonstrate compliance with the Clean Air Act's 1997 8-hour ozone national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS). The plan, submitted by the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources (NC DENR), Division of Air Quality (DAQ), meets the required infrastructure elements for the 1997 8-hour ozone NAAQS.
