TRICARE Prime Urgent Care Demonstration Project

The Department of Defense is launching a demonstration project to test whether allowing four urgent care visits without a referral for Active Duty Family Members (ADFMs) enrolled in TRICARE Prime or TRICARE Prime Remote will improve access to urgent care and reduce costs. The project aims to evaluate the impact on ADFMs, who often require urgent care while traveling for duty stations or deployments.
